Kaiser Family Foundation Health Tracking Poll – August 2017: The Politics of ACA Repeal and Replace Efforts
About 10.3 million people have health insurance that they purchased through the ACA exchanges or marketplaces, where people who don’t get insurance through their employer can shop for insurance and compare prices and benefits. Seven in ten (69 percent) say it is more important for President Trump and Republicans' next steps on health care to include fixing the remaining problems with the ACA in order to help the marketplaces work better, compared to three in ten (29 percent) who say it is more important for them to continue plans to repeal and replace the ACA. more »
UN Report: Conflict-related Sexual Violence as a Weapon of Terrorism
The term "conflict-related sexual violence" refers to rape, sexual slavery, forced prostitution, forced pregnancy, forced abortion, enforced sterilization, forced marriage and "any other form of sexual violence of comparable gravity" inflicted on women, men, girls and boys directly or indirectly linked to a conflict. Problems associated with post-sexual-violence: stigma; contracting of infectious diseases; handling of children of rape; loss of livelihoods and destitution; and other social taboos and damages that can ruin victims for life.

The CBO Estimates Again: A New Senate Bill to Repeal Obamacare Would Leave 32 Million More People Uninsured by 2026
The number of people who are uninsured would increase by 17 million in 2018, compared with the number under current law. That number would increase to 27 million in 2020, after the elimination of the ACA's expansion of eligibility for Medicaid and the elimination of subsidies for insurance purchased through the marketplaces established by the ACA, and then to 32 million in 2026. more »
